The St Louis Alfa Romeo Owners Club is hosting Spring Fling, a sort of mini-convention in Washington MO (40 miles west of St Louis), and we would like very much for all Alfisti (those who love Alfa Romeo automobiles) to come and join us.

Friday night the festivities begin with an informal dinner at a yet-to-be-named local restaurant.

Saturday morning Spring Fling officially begins with a trip to Wilson Motor Co. Dennis Wilson's showroom contains many imported and exotic cars. This is followed by a road rally/driving tour in the Missouri wine country and stop for lunch at a local winery. Then an open house and art exhibition at a beautiful old home in Washington overlooking the Missouri River.

The theme for this year's Alfa Art Exhibition is Heavy Metal. All media are welcome, photos, drawings, paintings, stained glass, sculpture, needlework, computer art, fabric painting, and anything else. [Now that doesn't mean you have to create something based on the theme, you can enter any automotive art you create. --jmh.] Last year's winners were M. Hatcher (serpant sculpture), S. Houser (appliqued/quilted jacket), and J. Hirsch (small quilt). Judging will be by popular vote.

The Saturday night banquet will be at Char Tony's, a popular Italian restaurant overlooking the Missouri River. Dinner price is $15 per person. Entree choices are beef, chicken, or fish.

The next day starts with an autocross and continues with a people's choice Concours. Spring Fling concludes with an awards luncheon at the Washington Brewery Restaurant. Price is $7.50 for a tasty brunch.
